Bombay Sapphire brand story 2011
At the heart of a sustainable brand is a solid foundation. For the 250th year of the original 1761 recipe we were asked to research and create the factual background material to support the historical provenance of Bombay Sapphire.
The project required research, interviews and collation of statements with material from archives going back to 1760 to provide factual evidence to support the relationship between Thomas Dakin, Gentleman Distiller of Warrington and the present day recipe used for Bombay Sapphire and Bombay Original.
The research and development of an extensive document outlining facts, the research into historical picture records and the collation into a final story took over one year to complete, delivering a strong basis for all historical facts relating to the Bombay brand story.
